Prickly Passion
1 inch to 1/4 inch thick with flowers and spines..

Off to a private sculpture garden in New York state..

Also did a fountain for the same garden.

water goes up the arch and out of the 8 copper nozzles on the bottom of the top. In the winter there are ball chains that screw into the nozzles to make it look like it is running.]]>

That Old piece with a new base after a paint job.

I have been getting lots of feedback on this piece.

Some folk find it to be offensive.

I will not tell you what they are complaining about because I don't want to lead anyone in that direction..]]>

I am thinking a semi gloss black for the base and a "Oh my God" red for the piece...

King salmon grumpycricket@gmail.com (grumpycricket) Welding Art Sun, 21 Dec 2014 11:05:54 -0500 Local area public art, show us yours!,show-us-yours,show-us-yours When the mineral bath rage went away, along with the tourists the hotels dwindled as the dollars did. And burned down over the years, only two a small one that now has an assortment of saloons and offices in it and a old hospital that is only operating part of it as a phys unit of another and a rehab unit. The only thing left was the smell of the sulfur laden waters, till all the wells drilled and free flowing were capped.
Now the mineral baths are in jars of cream and concentrated with most of the smell removed. There is one or two places that still does the cure as they use to say.

The people of the town came up with the idea of public art scattered through out the city. some are great and one is a prime example of what can happen when the committee gives up total control to the artist!
The art center and some of the items on it's lawn
The signage
Plasma cut out on a mount
Plasma cut out's left over mounted as a work of art.
industrial scarp welded up.
Bike rack
This is the art center's bike rack and it was built strong in case of abuse. Stainless and regular steel. Only problem is nobody uses it as what it was intended for! And it was decided that placing a sign would be tacky;) end of part one]]>
